/ 01 — Capabilities

What we make, and why clients keep coming back for more.

01

Oil & Gas Technical Animation

Downhole tools, completion systems, frac plugs, liner hangers, drilling equipment, logging tools, subsea hardware, MPD systems. Animation where the sequencing has to be right — because engineers will watch it frame by frame.

  • Tool Mechanism Walkthroughs
  • Completion Sequences
  • Product Launch Films
  • Trade-Show Loops
  • Training & HSE Animation
02

Architectural Visualization

Stills and walkthroughs for developers, architects, and interior firms who need presentation-grade imagery. Material accuracy, natural light, considered composition — visuals that sell a space before it is built.

  • Interior / Exterior Stills
  • Walkthrough Animation
  • Day / Night Sequences
  • Aerial & Masterplan
  • Interactive Configurators
03

Technical 3D Production

Supporting capabilities that make the above possible — modelling from engineering data, PBR shading, simulation, compositing, and full post. Delivered in broadcast, print, and real-time formats as the brief requires.

  • CAD to Production Modelling
  • Simulation & Effects
  • Product Stills & Cutaways
  • Real-time / Interactive 3D

/ 04 — Track record

Built for clients who need accuracy, not approximation.

Our technical lead has spent over a decade producing technical animation for tier-one oilfield service companies — including multi-year production with operators whose engineering specifications and product IP cannot be discussed publicly.

The work spans downhole completion tools, drilling equipment, logging systems, subsea hardware, and oilfield services marketing. Every project begins with engineering drawings and ends with something that marketing can ship and engineers will sign off on.

/ 05 — How we work

An engineering workflow applied to production.

Step 01

Brief & Scope

A 30–45 minute call to understand the tool, the audience, the end use, and the technical drawings we'll be working from. We return a written scope, schedule, and fixed quote within 48 hours.

Step 02

Modelling & Storyboard

CAD translation, engineering-accurate modelling, and a full frame-by-frame storyboard signed off by your engineering team before a single rendered frame is committed to.

Step 03

Animatic & Lookdev

Grey-shaded animatic with timing and camera locked. Material, lighting, and look development approved separately. Revisions are tracked against a written shot list.

Step 04

Final Render & Delivery

Broadcast-grade final render, compositing, grade, and sound. Delivered in the formats your marketing team needs — broadcast, web, trade-show, social, and stills pulls — with full source archive.

/ 06 — Studio

A senior-led studio built around one thing.

RGB Motion Works is a senior-led production studio founded in 2018 to serve clients whose engineering requires more than what most animation studios are set up to deliver. Our technical lead comes from a decade inside the oilfield services industry, which is why our briefs typically start with engineering drawings rather than mood boards.

We keep the studio small by design. A tight production team, working closely with our technical lead and a curated bench of senior specialists — modellers, FX artists, compositors, and colourists — scaled to the project rather than sized to a payroll.

We take on a limited number of projects per quarter. If your brief is a fit, we'd rather do fewer things excellently than many things adequately.
